The Boston Globe vs. Donald Trump

April Fool’s Day came a little late for The Boston Globe readers, as they were surprised to find a fake front page article in Sunday’s paper, depicting what the Globe believes America would look like if Donald Trump were elected president.

The Boston Globe’s deputy managing editor, Kathleen Kingsbury explained that extensive research went into creating this satirical front page post.

“The Globe conducted thorough research through Trump’s Tweets, speeches, policy papers and many other reliable sources in order to accurately depict what his presidency would look like,” Kingsbury said.

Trump quickly fired back Sunday afternoon at a rally in Rochester, N.Y., where the presidential candidate exclaimed “How about that stupid Boston Globe- it’s worthless.”
