Kesha's Court Ruling

On Friday, the New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan ruled against a motion by pop star Kesha involving her contract with Sony music producer Dr. Luke.
This verdict ends an 18-month battle for Kesha to be released from her contracts with the producer due to claimed abuse and rape towards to singer.
Throughout the case, Dr. Luke has denied all of the accusations towards him.
With the public hearing about the ruling, many took to social media to voice their support for the pop star, with #FreeKesha becoming a trending social media campaign.
Even celebrities have used their platform in order to voice their support for Kesha. Taylor Swift donated $250,000 for the pop star to put towards the high cost of legal fees and Adele publically supports the singer in her BRIT Awards acceptance speech.
